Step into a unique sensory journey dedicated to Chianti Classico wine and olive oil, set inside the evocative second floor of the former Franciscan Convent of Santa Maria al Prato.
The experience begins with a blind tasting of a Chianti Classico wine, designed to help you discover how to taste wine using only your own senses. Through a series of immersive and interactive installations, you will explore colors, aromas, and flavors in dedicated thematic rooms, learning to recognize the characteristics of the wine without labels or preconceptions.
Along the pathway, multimedia stations and drone videos reveal the landscapes of the Chianti territory, while engaging storytelling explains the origins of the Chianti Classico denomination, the legendary Black Rooster, and more than three centuries of winemaking tradition.
Since 2021, the experience also includes a dedicated knowledge room for Extra Virgin Olive Oil DOP Chianti Classico, where you will learn how olive oil is produced, how to recognize its aromas, and how to identify common defects through guided sensory analysis.
At the end of the tour, our professional sommeliers will reveal the identity of the blind wine and guide you through a complete tasting of the Chianti Classico quality pyramid, including Vintage, Riserva, and Gran Selezione wines.
This experience is ideal for wine lovers, curious travelers, and anyone who wants to understand Chianti Classico through an engaging, educational, and unforgettable sensory approach.

Interesting discovery, charming place! We did the sensory wine tasting and it was a wonderful experience! Excellent wines and you can spend hours listening to the information from the manager. Dinner in the central courtyard, pici al ragù not to be missed, excellent selection of cheeses and cured meats.
