A MORNING OF OLEOTOURISM AND CULTURE IN THE SIERRA DEL MONCAYO
If you want an intense and comprehensive experience, we offer an essential tour that combines history, culture, art, and, of course, our Extra Virgin Olive Oils.
The program begins with a thematic tour of the Veruela Monastery, the first Cistercian monastery in Aragon, built in the 12th century. This is essential for understanding the landscape and history of the region and its relationship with the olive groves. The tour will visit its most notable areas: the Gothic cloister, the chapter house, and the refectory.
Afterwards, we will take a guided tour of the Sierra del Moncayo Olive Oil Designation of Origin interpretive area, where, in addition to learning about the Moncayo Oil Mills’ territory in detail, we will also participate in a sensory game about the different aromas that EVOO contains.
To finish, we will taste 5 EVOOs, one for each member of the Denomination of Origin, designed to be shared in a group. This will last 30 to 40 minutes, during which we will follow the basic steps of EVOO tasting.
