An incredible opportunity to spend a day in nature, surrounded by farm animals and Basque traditions.
We will welcome you at 10:00 and begin the workshops:
In the cheese/curd workshop, you will make curds using both traditional and modern methods, while learning about Idiazabal PDO cheese. Afterwards, you will taste them.
In the talos workshop, you will prepare this traditional snack to have with chocolate.
And you’ll also go to the stables, where you’ll meet the flock of sheep and the ponies. You can feed them by hand, pet them, learn how to milk them, and so on.
We will always be accompanied by the sheepdogs and cats of the farmhouse, surrounded by the beautiful mountain.
We’ll finish the workshops around lunchtime. Afterwards, you’ll have the option to stay for lunch and spend a little more time by bringing your own food.

We traveled from Asturias specifically to meet Patxi and his flock, based on the reviews we had seen, and it was a great success. The visit was super dynamic, with excellent explanations about the local sheep, the milk, and much more. We made curd and chocolate-covered sheep stalks, a real treat. The sheep were very sociable, as were the dogs and cats, ideal for a trip for two or with family, and lots of fun.
