Advanced Macarons Class in Paris

As a Foodie who wants to enjoy the sweet life of a Parisian, taking a French Macarons class is in order.  All our classes are hands-on, and our classes include instruction from scratch, using the finest ingredients, all the way to delicious confections. With your professional Chef, you will be learning how to cook one of the most challenging French pastries: from mastering the meringue, to the macaronade (the art of the perfect mix), all the way through making delicious fillings with pastry cream, chocolate ganache of pistachio, those delicacies will have no secret left after you will spend 2 to 3 hours in our kitchen perfecting your cooking techniques. And this Pastry class will be followed by teatime – an opportunity to savour your creations with tea and coffee. Before leaving with a box full of them for later pleasures. STEP 1: Each of our pastry or baking classes starts with the careful measurement of all our ingredients.  A critical step in achieving the desired results.

STEP 2: It will then be time to prepare the fillings of the macarons – an opportunity for the class to make different flavours and textures that they will share later in the class.
STEP 3: The next key step in making macarons is the art of making the right meringue. How much to beat the egg whites, when to add the sugar, how to judge the readiness of it all, etc.
STEP 4: Mixing almond powder, powder sugar (aka compound sugar), egg whites and colorant will be the first step to prepare the famed cookies.
STEP 5: And it is time for the macaronade. This is a critical step if there ever was one.  Getting to what we call a lava consistency is your objective – under the watchful eye of your Chef of course.
STEP 6: The next step will be the piping of the macarons in rows of beautifully coloured dots.  To be basked before being paired as yummy sandwiches.

STEP 7: OK, it is time to taste it all, during a very enjoyable teatime moment.  Tea and coffee will be served, while you will get to taste everybody’s creations.

STEP 8: Before leaving with a box full of your creations to share – or not – with whomever you like.

Chef Stéphane was not only a culinary wizard but also the life of the party—charming, hilarious, and endlessly patient as he guided us through the art of macaron-making. We were laughing, learning, and nibbling along the way! The space itself is a cozy, picture-perfect setup that makes you feel like you're baking in a storybook kitchen. If you've got a few hours to spare and a love for French sweets or savory delights, this experience is a must. Our macarons turned out scrumptious—and yes, we're already planning our next session!

We took a 3-course lunch cooking class with Frédéric and it was an incredible experience. We made a tasty meal and learned so much about the science of cooking. Frédéric was super engaging and gave helpful instruction while helping to socialize the room of attendees. Definitely a highlight of Paris, and would do it again in a heartbeat
