Enjoy a Truffle Hunting & Lunch close to Torino – Italy!
You will have one of a kind, truly authentic experience packed with fun and action! In the heart of the nature, you will be tuning into your senses to discover and connect with nature.
You will join me and my trained dog Gemma, and my highly experienced truffle hunter fellow Santo, and his trained dog Vasco to get an introduction to the magical and mysterious world of truffles. You will be exploring the art of finding these gastronomic treasures!
What is included:
- first we will meet in Torino and we will take you to our secret places out of the city in the forest.
- we will give you an introduction to truffles, where they grow, qualities and rules about searching them.
- we will be walking and searching for truffles, (white or black depending on the season) in the forest with the help of our beloved, talented dogs Gemma and Vasco.
- You will actively take part in the truffle hunt, learn how to recognise truffles and how to dig them up
- we will have a lunch in a typical Italian trattoria.
What is not included:
- Transportation to the meeting point
Travelling takes 40 min to and 40 min back
Duration of the experience: approximately 2 to 3 hours for searching truffles .
September 21th -30th January white truffle
During the other months of the year we can find other types of truffles; despite all may and september first to september 21st where it is forbidden to collect truffles.

Félix and Cecil are wonderful hosts. This was an experience we will always remember. The lunch was outstanding as well. This is an incredible value by friendly and humble hosts. Please be sure to provide a gratuity, they will not ask, but deserve as you can spend twice as much or more for similar experiences. Make sure you are in shape for an occasionally challenging hike in slippery areas and have appropriate hiking boots. Expect to get a little muddy. You will return with an appreciation of the hard work of truffle hunters and their dogs.
What an incredible experience! These are true enthusiasts - both humans and dogs - of truffle hunting. What a thrill to witness the passion of the pursuit, to walk through the field and woods, to see the countryside of Turin, and to taste its local flavors. We were a small group and felt like friends by the end. Highly recommend and hope to come back!
Seriously a once in a lifetime opportunity! This is an authentic truffle hunting experience where you feel truly part of Secil’s family. We were lucky enough to find black and white truffles and then enjoy the fruits of our labour at an authentic trattoria. Great experience, and definitely not to be missed!
