Dine between the vine rows at a Tuscan winery

For a few months each year, from April to October, it’s possible to sit down between the actual vine rows of a Tuscan winery estate near San Gimignano and have lunch. Not at a terrace overlooking the vineyard, not at a table near the estate — but inside the private vineyard, surrounded on all sides by the vines that produce the wines in your glass. Four courses of Tuscan cuisine — antipasti, truffle lasagna or ribollita, roast meat with sides, and cantuccini with dessert wine — are paired with a guided vertical tasting of 13 wines, olive oils, and balsamic vinegar, covering the full range of the estate’s production. A completely outdoor experience, available only in season.

Highlights

Between the Vines, Not Beside Them. The table is set up inside the estate’s private vineyard rows — not at a terrace looking out at the vines, but literally surrounded by them, with the plants on both sides as you eat and drink.

The Season Makes the Experience. Available only from April to October, when the vineyard is in full growth — the vines are green, the air is warm, and the Tuscan sky is at its most dramatic. This is not a year-round experience.

13 Products in One Sitting. The guided vertical tasting covers 13 wines, olive oils, and balsamic vinegar — the most comprehensive tasting line-up of any lunch format at this estate.

A Lesson Inside the Classroom. With the vines growing around the table, the guided wine lesson on cultivation techniques and winemaking takes on a different dimension — the classroom is the vineyard itself.

Completely Outdoors. Unlike the garden or terrace experiences, this one is fully immersed in nature — the vine rows, the light, and the open Tuscan sky are the setting from first course to last.

Highly recommended!!! electrolina1

A beautiful winery with a very unique atmosphere — truly a typical Tuscan experience. The place itself is stunning and feels quite luxurious. The owner was very kind and gave us a guided tour, explaining everything about the wines. All the products were excellent and of very high quality. They also offer accommodation, which looked very stylish, although we didn’t stay there. Highly recommended — a wonderful experience overall.

I have no idea how the rooms are as we did not stay, but one of the greatest wine tasting experiences ever! I would 100% recommend going here if in Tuscany. The food and wine are incredible and the venue is beautiful. Definitely a must go stop on your next vacation to Tuscany!

One of the best experiences we’ve had in Italy! Mikela and Francesca were incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The explanation and guidance throughout the experience were excellent, and the location itself was absolutely stunning. We would definitely recommend this place and will for sure come back again!
